People illegally admitting students to Azerbaijani International University and other universities were convicted. According to Trend News, Mushfig Muradov was convicted for 4 years of imprisonment during court process in the hard crimes court headed by Judge Eynulla Veliyev. Other accused Banovsha Hajiyeva convicted for 3 years of conditional punishment was released in court hall.

People illegally admitting students to Azerbaijani International University and other universities were convicted. 

According to Trend , Mushfig Muradov was convicted for 4 years of imprisonment during court process in the hard crimes court headed by Judge Eynulla Veliyev. Other accused Banovsha Hajiyeva convicted for 3 years of conditional punishment was released in court hall.  

According to accusation, former officer of the criminal investigation police department of Binagadi region Mushfig Muradov and Banovsha Hajiyeva being secretary of Mahir Abdullayev, brother of rector of Azerbaijani International University Elshad Abdullayev were accused on article 178.3.1 of the Criminal code (fraud organized by group of people).  

Accused joined criminal agreement with group of people and admitted students to Azerbaijani International University avoiding the State Commission on Students Admission. They promised to admit students in one of Dagestan universities with further transfer to Azerbaijani International University. Accused deceived more than 100 citizens by defalcated their money in 2005-2007. Abovementioned people were detained by head department for combat with organized crime of the interior ministry as a result of citizens' complaints.
