An Azerbaijani court is examining the case of a resident of the region of Siyazan who gave a false report about a bomb in a subway station.
On July 28, 22-year-old Parvin Agasieva made a call on her cell phone to the Interior Ministry hotline and said that there was a bomb in the 28 May subway station, the Serious Crimes Court told Trend on Aug. 17.
An investigation confirmed that no bomb existed. On the same day, Agasieva was arrested.
The resident of the region of Siyazan was charged with intentionally providing false information about a terrorist act.
The court decided to examine the case on Aug. 24.
Recently in Azerbaijan, the number of anonymous calls about upcoming terrorist attacks has increased. None of these reports were confirmed as true.
Trials on several cases of false reports continue.
