The U.S embassy to Azerbaijan and Counterpart international organization repaired a bathroom in the boarding school for hard-of-hearing children No3 of Nizami region of Baku within 'Project of small reconstruction'. Repair was made under cooperation and financial support of the U.S Department of State. 

Director of Сounterpart international program on CIS countries, Sergey Khromchenko, said that the program has been implemented for 12 years. The program distributes humanitarian aid among vulnerable layers of the population. 

The program is implemented in eight countries of the former USSR. About $65 million was spent for humanitarian aid within the program for 12 years. They have helped nearly 1 million people, 70 percent are internally displaced people, Khromchenko said. Three of six projects implemented in Azerbaijan are aimed at the work with orphanages, the rest three - at assistance to internally displaced people and their children.
