Several businesses in Azerbaijan have been fined for violating ecological legislations requirements

It was revealed that several enterprises have been violating ecological legislations requirements, through monitoring held by the Caspian Complex Ecological Monitoring Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, the ministry told Trend on September 8.

Environmental Protection Department employees have conducted investigations into these enterprises for the discovered violations.

It was revealed that unrefined domestic waste from the Caucasus Tinned Food Factory was being poured out into a small channel of water near the factory, though there are water-purification plants at the factory. Polluted water from the channel flows into the River Gudyalchay.

Protocol for the business's director has been drawn up.

It was revealed that 'Geophysicist' holiday resort, situated in sea-side Nabran settlement of the Khachmaz region, was pouring unrefined water into the Caspian Sea.

The person responsible was fined 10,000 manat.

Moreover, it was also revealed that Dostluq OJSC, which does not have a water-purification plant, poured unrefined water into the Caspian Sea. Dostluq OJSC agreed to accept this water on the basis of a contract signed between various holiday resorts.

Dostluq OJSC was fined 10,000 manat.

The heads of businesses are recommended to solve any issues in observing ecological legislation requirements immediately.
