Iranian president offers his condolences to his Turkish counterpart

Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad offered his condolences to his Turkish Counterpart, Abdullah Gul over numerous human casualties caused by heavy flooding in Istanbul, Iranian ILNA news agency reported.

Ahmadinejad said that Iran is ready to help the regions damaged from the flood.

Turkish President, Abdullah Gul thanked Ahmadinejad saying that the Turkish and Iranian nations are brother counties. 

The number of those who have died in heavy flooding in Istanbul has reached 31.The heavy rains, which lasted for two days, have seriously damaged the city and injured the residents. According to local hydrometeorology, the unstable weather in Turkey will last for a few more days.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul has stated that the relevant agencies are taking action to recover losses caused by damage by the heavy flooding in Istanbul.

There are no Azerbaijani citizens among those injured in the heavy floods in Istanbul, the Azerbaijani Consul in Istanbul, Sayyad Aran, told Trend .
