On Nov. 6, as part of humanitarian aid, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation presented ten hemodialysis equipment (artificial kidney) to the Ministry of Health, a source at the Foundation told Trend .

Medical equipment is the next humanitarian assistance, which the Heydar Aliyev Foundation obtained from German Fresenius Medical Care Company. The basis of international cooperation was laid in 2006.

Ten dialysis machines worth 200,000 Euros donated by the company in 2006 and presented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to relevant hospitals were necessary for the treatment of patients suffering from renal insufficiency.

In 2007 during the regular humanitarian action, Fresenius Medical Care Company provided two apparatus for autohemotransfusion and four apparatus for the metered transfer of medicines that allow preventing blood loss and reduce to zero the risk of infection with various viral infections. In 2008 the company donated ten dialysis machines. Received by the Foundation within international cooperation, these medical equipment has already been submitted to the hospitals of the country.

Heydar Aliyev Foundation also makes fruitful cooperation with a number of other prestigious medical companies in the world. This cooperation allows to realize projects in health care. Endoscopic equipment worth 160,000 Euros, donated to the Foundation within cooperation with German Storz, is successfully introduced in the field of urology. Cooperation with the Danish Novo-Nordisk Company since 2004 enables providing patients under 14 years of age with insulin and syringe-pen. In 2007, the humanitarian action by the famous French pharmaceutical company Servyer allowed the treatment of 100 patients with diabetes mellitus during a year.
