Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 25 / Trend M. Aliyev /
Freedom of Speech Protection Fund (FSPF) has organized a meeting of media representatives with heads of press services of Azerbaijan's State agencies to discuss issues of obtaining information sphere.
Press services should not only inform the society, but also must organize meetings with state officials, Fund Chairman Musa Yagub said.
According to Yagub, the Fund implements projects on "Ties between media and press-services" to analyze positive and negative sides of collaboration and to determine ways of developing relations in positive course.
"70 percent of heads of state agencies' press-services worked in press formerly. However some of them demand official message to the Ministry, whereas request can be sent by letter, fax and by mail," project coordinator Nazirmamed Guliyev said
According to Guliyev, the press-services are aimed at facilitating journalists' activity, but not to present obstacles in their way.
Currently we face with low level of journalists' professionalism more and more, who cover the spheres about which they have no idea, the Industry and Energy Ministry press-officer Azer Masimli said
Masimli said that some journalists violate ethic norms during different events.
"Press repeatedly demands to meet with the minister to discuss issues on which he has already expressed his official position," Masimli said.
