A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Presidential NGO Support Council and USAID today.
The memorandum envisages cooperation studying and implementing best international practices on state financing for NGOs, increasing NGO knowledge and skill, promoting public awareness about civil society's role in Azerbaijan and involving NGOs in socio-economic development, the council's head Azay Guliyev said during a speech at the signing ceremony.
According to USAID Azerbaijan head Jonathan Conley, the memorandum aims to apply international experience in openly and transparently financing NGOs to Azerbaijan.
