The State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) received 45.3 percent appeals concerning pension issues in 2009, Fund Public Relations Department Head Elman Babayev told Trend
SSPF has also received appeals concerning issue on obligatory state social insurance (22.6 percent of citizens), on the organization of individual account (10.2 percent) and other issues (22.9 percent)
Some appeals were out of the Fund's competence. The SSPF representatives provide the citizens with necessary information in connection with application to relevant organizations.
The service received 29,325 applications in 2009.
Citizens are mainly interested in issues concerning date of enactment of the law on labor pension, categories of persons who can enjoy preferential terms while retiring, documents needed for retiring to pension; benefits paid as the mandatory state social insurance, types of social security benefits, rights and obligations of insurers
The SSPF has also received complaints on the activities of the Fund's local offices and immediately held check-up to take appropriate measures
