The Heydar Aliyev Foundation held a campaign to providing diabetes patients with medicine. Held jointly with the Health Ministry, the Azerbaijani Diabetes Society, and Novo Nordisk, the campaign is designed to improve the living conditions of diabetes patients in Azerbaijan.
Within the project, Azerbaijan received 2,000 injectors and nozzles.
During the campaign, adolescents, pregnant women, and persons whose glucose index exceeds nine percent will be given preference. The campaign will cover 1,200 low-income citizens.
The fund has organized medical services since 2004 under the "Care for Children with Diabetes" project. In parallel with the project, the fund holds humanitarian actions with international cooperation for refugees, IDPs and poor families
