Baku held a presentation of the first legal magazine "Cenubi Qafqaz" (South Caucasus) March 4.
This magazine is the first legal publication, covering the whole South Caucasus. Through this publication an initiative to create a legal dialogue that would not be limited only by internal legal matters, and would create an opportunity to review the legal authorities at the regional level, is put forward for the first time. In addition, the purpose of the legal dialogue is to create wide opportunities for legal discussions between the various professional groups.
The editorial group, whose goal is selection of articles according to the standards, includes leading representatives of legal sciences of the three South Caucasus countries. They are deans, professors of law faculties of universities, as well as judges and lawyers. Besides, the judge, came from Germany help editorial group. The first issue of the legal magazine "Cenubi Qafqaz" is dedicated to the subject "Protecting the property rights".
GTZ is established by the German government 1993 and provides advisory services on political, economic, ecological and social development. GTZ has actively been cooperating with 140 countries for 30 years. In addition to providing advice on bills to partners and development state institutions, the project GTZ also supports holding courses for improvement lawyers, implementation of new laws through the issuance of law books, including the collection of court decisions.
GTZ Program Manager Zeno Reyfenbaher said the exchange of views on legal issues which are important for South Caucasus region, are at zero level. Therefore, GTZ has decided to publish this magazine.
