An Azerbaijani court sentenced the people persons accused of drug smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan.
Today the Heinous Crimes Court sentenced residents of the Jalilabad region Fikrat Piriyev to 8 years imprisonment, Akif Miriyev - 6 years and six months and Elshan Guliyev -3 years.
The employees of the State Border Service and Jalilabad Region Police Department arrested the accused when trying to smuggle the drug from Iran to Azerbaijan Oct.4, 2008. The employees seized 15 kilograms of hashish during the arrest.
