An Azerbaijani court did not granted appeals of the imprisoned bloggers Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizade.
The lawyers asked the Baku Appeal Court to cancel the Sabayel district court's decision, the court told Trend . The prosecutor asked the court not to grant the appeal as it is groundless. The Baku Appeal Court Judge regarded the appeal groundless and did not grant it keeping the first instance's decision in force.
Milli and Hajizade were accused of Article 221.2.1 (On Hooliganism) and Article 127.2.3 (deliberately causing minor harm) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
The Baku Sabayel District Court sentenced Milli to two years and six months in prison and Adnan Hajizadeh to two years in prison Nov. 11.
