There are no Azerbaijanis among those killed and injured in clashes in Osh and Jalal-Abad provinces of Kyrgyzstan, Asad Hasanov, deputy chairman of the "Azeri" Public Union of Azerbaijanis in Kyrgyzstan told Trend.

The clashes between the Kyrgyz and Uzbeks in Osh city began in night June 11, which then continued in the neighboring Jalal-Abad province. Participants of the clashes accuse each other of starting the conflict and using violence.

"Shops are closed in these areas, the streets are teeming with broken machines, it is impossible to leave the houses, but no Azerbaijanis were injured, as they do not participate in the clashes," Hasanov said.

According to specified data of the Press Center of Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, as of 7:00 June 15, number of dead peoples reached 171 people, and in the Osh province this figure hits 128 people, in the Jalal-Abad - 43 people. In total, 1,762 people appealed for medical care from the two provinces, 826 of them were hospitalized, 798 victims received ambulatory care.

According to the recent data, there is no Azerbaijanis among those displaced from these regions, Hasanov said.

Kyrgyz Civil Aviation Agency has vacuated over 2,200 people, including 700 children from the south, covered by the clashes.

In total, about 600 Azerbaijanis live in Osh and Jalal-Abad provinces of Kyrgyzstan.
