Azerbaijan to host int'l ecology conference

Azerbaijan will host an international conference of European ecology ministers.
A ministerial conference on environment organized by the Azerbaijani government and the UNEP will be held in the Gabala region. The event will be held in the run-up to the next session of the U.N. General Assembly on Biological Diversity in New York in September, Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry spokesman Irada Ibrahimova told Trend today.
The conference will bring together European ecology ministers, UNEP Europe Regional Office Director Christophe Bouvier, Convention on Biological Diversity Executive Secretary Ahmed Djoghlaf and a number of other international experts.
