The Rector of the State Management Academy under the President of Azerbaijan Seyfaddin Gandilov died on Tuesday.
Honored Scientist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Seyfaddin Mirtagi oglu Gandilov in 1953 graduated from the Faculty of History, Baku State University, in the years 1953-1956 continued his education in graduate school, in 1967 defended his doctoral dissertation.
Gandilov at different times served as head of subdepartment in different universities of the country.
As a result of his long-term studies about 400 articles and a number of scientific papers were published.
He was actively involved in the process of improving higher education. Under his leadership, in 1995 the working group under the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan has prepared a "Concept of teaching the humanities in institutes of higher education and improvement of research" and in 1997 an expert group of the Ministry has developed a "State standards of directions and special subjects of humanities in higher education."
Gandilov served as rector of the State Management Academy under the President of Azerbaijan since February 1999.
