A working group congratulated Azerbaijani journalists with the 135-th anniversary of the national press.

One of the indicators of social development is the press, the group coordinator Afag Akhmadova said.

"Besides science and education, a unique character and identity are formed with the high development. The peoples pass to a new stage by developing criteria for national identity and belonging. Besides domestic issues, they are trying to establish ties with other nations and become global players. After our country gained independence, the press of the country began to develop more freely. At the moment one can say that all types of media operate in Azerbaijan," she said.

A Working Media Group head, editor of "Youth and Society" said that the important factor is the role of Azerbaijani youth in the media.

A Working Media Group has launched projects such as the Journal "Youth and Society" and "PR-Network" for the sake of proper education and thinking of young people, their becoming successful citizens and creative people.

The main goal is to bring up creative young people to promote our country through human capital, ensure bright future, find solutions to problems. Over 135 years passed since the establishment of the national press in Azerbaijan. Educator, outstanding thinker Hasan bey Zardabi laid the fundamentals of our national press. The result of such an arduous journey and the struggle for the sake of this case were free-thinking citizens of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani people. I congratulate our people with this day of our pride - a professional holiday of journalists", she said.
