The Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry has fined legal and physical entities worth 2.24 million manat in the first five months of this year. So far only 114,968 manat have been paid.
Fines for enviromental damage amounted to 633,422 manat; 48,824 manat has been paid.
Additionally, water resource fines have been issued worth 60,440 manat, and atmospheric pollution fines worth 21,540 manat.
Fines on land resource protection reached 38,836 manat, while fines on flora and fauna protection hit 1.8 million manat and 30,680 manat, respectively. Fines on biological resource protection in river basins reached 2,150 manat.
