A star midfielder on the Azerbaijani Karabakh Football Club has been seriously injured.
Afran Ismayilov, who scored five goals in a recent European League match, was taken off the Azerbaijani national team's roster for the upcoming match against Kuzwait.
Ismayilov received the injury during the first match of the Premier League. He will be unable to play for six months.
Karabakh will face off against the German Borussia Aug. 19 and 26 in the European League playoffs.
