Azerbaijani private educational institutions has non-occupied places

Based on the results of the entrance exams, only 1,158 seats were occupied from 4,561 planned spaces in the private schools, State Student Admission Commission Chairman Maleyka Abbaszade told journalists at the news conference today.

Based on the results of the entrance exams, only 1,158 seats were occupied from 4,561 planned spaces in the private schools, State Student Admission Commission Chairman Maleyka Abbaszade told journalists at the news conference today.

Abbaszade said 28, 737 people successfully passed the entrance exams held for 30,510 planned seats in the Azerbaijani higher education institutions.

About 6,758 people successfully passed the entrance exams held for 7,044 seats in secondary vocational institutions.

Abbaszade said the passing score to some secondary vocational institutions were higher than passing score to the higher education institutions due to character of specialities.

"The minimum passing score on the "Banking" at the Azerbaijan Financial and Economic College totaled 369 points, whileon" Prosthetic dentistry "at the Baku College of Medicine No.2 minimum passing score was 396 points," she added.

The entrance exams for higher schools of Azerbaijan for the 2010-2011 academic years were held from July 4 to July 23.
