The Azerbaijani Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has imposed disciplinary sanctions on the heads of enterprises for forest protection and restoration in Sheki and Ismayilli regions, the ministry said.
The ministry strengthened protection of forests and natural areas.
Facts of negligence were observed in the forests of Lerik, Ismayilli, Yalama, Goygol, Sheki regions.
Shabran and Ismayilli regions of Azerbaijan burst into flame in late July-early August.
