A canal will be built connecting central Iranian cities and the province of Simnan with the Caspian Sea. The canal will supply the cities with two billions of water, claimed Iranian Agriculture Minister Sadig Halilian today in Damgan, Iranian Mehr news agency reports.
The main problem of Simnan is a lack of water, he said, the 70km-long channel will eliminate the problem. Research for the project has already started.
