An Azerbaijani court denied the appeal today of several citizens accused of trafficking children.
The Baku Appeals Court denied the appeal of local residents Ilham Trihude, Elman Dadihi and Zulfiya Huseynova. Earlier, the Baku Heinous Crimes Court sentenced Trihude to 8.5 years in prison, and Dadihi and Huseynova to 8 years.
The individuals were arrested on June 6 as a result of operational activities by the Interior Ministry's Head Transport Police Department at the main railway station in Baku. Huseynova sold seven-year-old daughter Konul for 6,400 manat.
