The first textbook on reproductive health and family planning in Azerbaijan has been published.
The new book will play an important role in creating healthy families in Azerbaijan, U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Adam Sterling said at a presentation of the book, which was prepared with financial support from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in cooperation with the Azerbaijani Health Ministry, the Azerbaijani Medical University and the Doctors' Advanced Institute.
Sterling said the manual is another important step taken in the provision of quality health care in Azerbaijan.
The Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs, Aynur Sofiyeva, said education plays an important role in the formation of healthy families.
"This book is easily readable and has great educational value," Sofiyeva added.
The book, "Reproductive Health and Family Planning," has been prepared to meet the needs of students preparing for a career in the field.
