The State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan announced the preliminary results of inspection of school uniforms released by JSC Baku Sewing House.
The State Committee's first territorial department's employees based on the state control plan conducted a monitoring for compliance of quality and safety of the outer clothing for schoolchildren with accepted standards, the Committee said.
The enterprise has prepared a document on technical specifications for a model called "Suit for schoolboys and schoolgirls" for sewing outer clothing, obtained consent of the Association of Parents of Azerbaijan. The document on technical specifications for a model in accordance with the standard requirements includes information about the silhouette of school clothes, forms, as well as information on the composition of fabric.
As according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan No. 343 "On a phased application of certification of products", children's products require mandatory certification, the enterprise applied to the State Committee's first territorial department.
At present, the experimental-Testing Center (AzTEST) of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents conducts analysis to reveal compliance of the fabric, security and other parameters of school uniforms with " Suit for schoolboys and schoolgirls " State Standard 25294-2003. Certification of clothing will be reviewed depending on the results of the analysis.
In addition, the enterprise undertook to prepare a data sheet of "school uniform".
