The case of Georgian former football player Giorgi Demetradze was submitted to the Tbilisi City Court. The date of the administrative session has not been fixed yet, the court told Trend.
Demetradze's friends, including David Gagnidze and Vakhtang Kipiani, as well as former colonel Interior Kakha Misireli are involved in this case.
All four are accused of commitment to 'thieves 'traditions'. They will be sentenced to seven years. Gagnidze is also charged with illegal possession of weapons. The defendants did not plead guilty.
The defendants were arrested on the fact of money extortion. A citizen has won money on bets during the World Cup.
