Three Azerbaijani schools were repaired and opened in Georgia with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s support, the Foundation said today.

Three Azerbaijani schools were repaired and opened in Georgia with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's support, the Foundation said today.

M.F.Akhundzade secondary school No.73 in Tbilisi, Azerbaijani school No.3 in the Gardabani region and Azerbaijani secondary school No.2 in Dmanisi were opened within the Foundation's project "Support to education".

The reconstruction work conducted in M.F.Akhundzade secondary school No.73 in Tbilisi, which was in disrepair, accommodates 150 pupils, offering all conditions for studying at the level of modern standards in the school. The school building's foundation was strengthened, the roof was replaced, and classrooms, library, dining room and other rooms were completely repaired and provided with modern equipment. A new cabinet of informatics was created in the school.

Azerbaijani school No.3 in Gardabani is designed for 1,600 pupils. During the overhaul, interior of the building was renovated and facade of the school was coated with facing ceramics, while sports ground was created and great part of equipment was replaced, too.

Under the project fortification works were carried out in the building as part of its restoration, the classrooms, corridors, library, dining room, sports hall were completely reconstructed, a new assembly hall, offices for individual subjects and cabinet of informatics were built in the Azerbaijani secondary school No.2 in Dmanisi. The school is fully provided with new equipment. Gas and power supply systems of the schools were replaced, a transformer was installed, a stadium with artificial turf was built.

Attending the opening ceremony were the Education Minister Misir Mardanov, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's executive director Anar Alakbarov, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dmitri Shashkin, Kvemo-Kartli region's governor David Kirkitadze. They all appraised the conditions offered here to get premium education.
