Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov discussed the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia bilateral cooperation in education in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi newspaper Al Madinah reported.
At the meeting with head of the Saudi Arabian Islamic University Mohammed Ben Ali Al-Okla, Mardanov said he expects the future development of the inter-institutional relations. Mardanov stressed that the Arabic language is becoming increasingly common in educational institutions of Azerbaijan, including the recently opened Islamic university.
During the meeting, Al-Okla spoke about the Kingdom's interest in the spread of the Islamic science in the world, pointing out that each year about 30,000 students from 167 countries graduate the Saudi Arabian Islamic University.
