The Azerbaijani folk tale was presented in a festival organized by the "Intercultural Week" in Germany's city of Cologne.

During the two-day festival, organized by the Cologne city hall at the İGNİS Cultural Center, tales of 20 countries were presented, the Azerbaijani State Committee on Diaspora Affairs said.

Good and instructive tales were voiced for children and adults from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Finland, Italy, Japan, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Guinea, Cameroon, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Ukraine and other countries.

Presenter Florian Sever briefed the guests of the festival about Azerbaijan, after which Azerbaijan's Tale "Tik-tik Khanum" was read in two languages - Azerbaijani and German. The tale in German was read by actress Christina Maria Greve.

Living in Germany, Associate Professor at the Cologne Conservatory, Azerbaijani pianist Elnara Ismayilova performed the great Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov's piano miniatures.

The event was held with support of the German-Azerbaijani Forum and the Coordination Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany.
