National Television and Radio Council of Azerbaijan (NTRC) has completed a tender receipt of applications to open "Culture" channel in Azerbaijan, the only appeal was received from JSC "Azerbaijan TV and Radio Broadcasting" (AzTV), National Television and Radio Council chairman Nushiravan Maharramli told Trend.
According to him, usually after receiving applications they are considered within a month. "However, given that the application has been submitted only by one structure, we will complete the review within a shorter period of time," Maharramli said.
According to the NTRC decision, Aug. 4-Sept. 4 a competition was held to open a "Culture" channel in Baku and Absheron Peninsula at 44 frequency, which was extended until Oct. 7.
