The articles and translations of the founder of the Arabic Literature School in Azerbaijan, Ph.D Aida Imanguliyeva were included in the "Articles and Translations" book published by the Oriental Studies Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). Mrs. Imanguliyeva was the first woman orientalist, whose works are in the focus of the world even today.

The articles and translations of the founder of the Arabic Literature School in Azerbaijan, Ph.D Aida Imanguliyeva were included in the "Articles and Translations" book published by the Oriental Studies Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). Mrs. Imanguliyeva was the first woman orientalist, whose works are in the focus of the world even today.

The author-compiler of the book is Institute's Arab Philology Department head, Ph.D Vilayat Jafar.

The "Articles and Translations" book published to mark the 71st anniversary of Mrs.Imanguliyeva includes her works published in 1960-1980s.

"Mrs.Imanguliyeva, who became the first scholar of the Arabic literature of the new period in Azerbaijan and the first Azerbaijani PhD in Arabic, opened a new chapter in the study of modern Arabic literature. She laid the foundation of a new school," Oriental Studies Institute Director, MP Govhar Bakhshaliyeva said.

Professor Aida Imanguliyeva left behind a rich scientific legacy that has enriched the Azerbaijani and World Orientalism, she said.

Mrs.Imanguliyeva unified the spiritual values of the West and East, Jafar said. He praised Imanguliyeva's activities that "opened a new chapter in the study of modern Arabic literature".

Jafar said the research works and translations of the first female orientalist are the property of the Azerbaijani literature. "During her presidency in the Oriental Studies Institute, Mrs.Imanguliyeva did extensive work to improve this branch of science, "he said.
