It will focus on preparing a program to protect the Caspian Sea from pollution," Mohammad-Javad Mohammadizadeh, Iranian Vice President, Chairman of the Organization for the Protection of the environment, was quoted by İRNA news agency, as saying.

The Caspian littoral countries signed four agreements to protect the Caspian Sea from pollution, Mohammadizadeh said.

He said that Kazakhstan plans to discuss the signing of several documents to prevent pollution of the Caspian Sea with oil industry wastes.

"I hope that the Caspian countries will be able to minimize the level of pollution of the Caspian Sea by executing the signed documents in the nearest 5-10 years," Mohammadizadeh said.
