Azerbaijani athlete Aliya Garayeva has won a bronze medal at the Grand Prix series held in Berlin.

Bronze medalist of the 2010 World Cup Garayeva ranked the third in the exercise with a ball, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation reported. She gained 27.9 points from the referees and conceded only two Russian women Evgenia Kanayeva and Daria Dmitrieva.

Also, Garayeva ranked the fourth in the exercise with a rope (27.5 points), ribbon (27.4 points) and hoop (27.5). Garayeva ranked the fifth in the all-around with the result of 110,066.

Her teammate Anna Gurbanova participated in two finals. Gurbanova took the sixth place in the exercises with ribbon (26.25 points) and hoop (26.275 points). Gurbanova ranked the ninth in the individual championship with the result of 106,458.

Absolute world champion Evgenia Kanayeva gained the victory in all kinds of programs.

Our gymnasts will leave Germany for Arezzo, Italy which will host the second round of the Italian club championship on Nov. 6. Gurbanova will perform from the "Komense" club in the series A1, and Garayeva - "Rhythmics" in the series A2.
