Iranian president meets with Caucasus Muslims Office head

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with head of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade today, the Iranian government told Trend.
At the meeting, Pashazade stressed the high level of Azerbaijani-Iranian relations.
According to Pashazade, even in the Soviet era, Azerbaijan's religious figures maintained ties with their Iranian colleagues and senior Iranian clerics.
Pashazade thanked Iran for its support to Azerbaijan in international organizations.
Ahmadinejad launched his visit to Azerbaijan on Nov.17. He arrived in the country to attend the Caspian littoral states' summit.
