Web-page of the Red Book of Azerbaijan was created "- /www.redbook.az/.
The site will contain information on all kinds of animals and plants included in the Red Book of Azerbaijan. Information will be constantly updated with information about animals and plants threatened with extinction, organizer of the site, the chairperson of the Young Democrats-Reformers public union Vusala Huseynova told Trend.
According to her, now the site contains information on 71 types of endemic flora and fauna, named in the Red Book.
Huseynova said that the Red Book portal for the first time in the CIS was created in Azerbaijan.
The site, created in Azerbaijani and English languages, with financial support from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, contains information about the rarely occurring things in nature of Azerbaijan, completely missing or endangered endemic species of flora and fauna.
The site is planned to be presented to the public in December.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan plans to launch the second edition of the Red Book of Azerbaijan in Azerbaijani and English languages.
