UNICEF is carrying out joint projects with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to resolve educational problems of disabled children in Azerbaijan, UNICEF Baku Office head Mark Hereward said today.
"Only 14,000 of 56,000 children with disabilities in the country receive education," he said. "UNICEF uses its capabilities to educate all disabled children."
According to Hereward, UNICEF also works with the Education Ministry to solve these problems.
"We are trying to train Azerbaijani teachers to work with disabled children," he said.
