Baku hosted discussions on prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and France in the sphere of fair constitutional judicial proceedings.
On Thursday, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev received the deputy prosecutor of High Court of Paris Françoise Gilon, who is on an official visit to Baku at the invitation of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children, the press service of the Constitutional Court told Trend.
At the meeting the sides exchanged views on the basic principles and implementation of the Law on the Suppression of Domestic Violence, adopted in Azerbaijan.
Abdullayev informed the guests that a number of Constitutional Court decisions have applied the principle of gender equality, stipulated in the Constitution, the Azerbaijani legislation and international documents signed by the country.
Françoise Gilon told about the experience of France in this regard.
