Azerbaijani Culture Days will be held in Jordan from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Jordan said.

Preparation work is underway. The cultural events will take place in different cities of Jordan. An Azerbaijani delegation headed by Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev will also attend the events. The opening ceremony will be held in Amman.

The opening ceremony is also expected to be attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli, Jordanian Culture Minister Nabih Shakum, MPs, representatives of a Jordanian-Azerbaijani friendship organization, diplomatic missions and the Jordanian public, as well as the Azerbaijani and Chechen Circassian communities.

Azerbaijani Culture Days will be held in Jordan for the first time. A special program was prepared to familiarize Jordanians with the rich culture of Azerbaijan. Photo exhibitions, mugam concerts and dance programs will be organized during the culture days.

More than 150 books about Azerbaijan's history, culture and development will be presented to the National Library of Jordan.

According to an agreement reached with the Jordanian Royal Culture Center, the opening ceremony and concert will be broadcast live on Nov. 30 at 8:30 p.m. (Baku time) on its website: www.rcctv.joinstream.net
