The Azerbaijani Education Ministry and the German KNAUF signed a protocol of intent on cooperation in the vocational education system in Baku today, Azerbaijani Education Ministry Vocational Education Department head Namig Mammadov told Trend.
"According to the signed document, construction staff will receive training in Azerbaijan with the German company's support, Mammadov said.
According to the official, three pilot institutions - the fourth and eighteenth vocational lyceums in Baku and a Ganja vocational lyceum - were selected for the training.
KNAUF will assist the ministry in training students and developing methodological means and educational standards.
According to Mammadov, expanding relations in vocational education is a ministry priority.
A delegation headed by Education Minister Misir Mardanov visited Cologne to expand cooperation between the two countries in education in early October.
