Azerbaijani club ‘Baku Fires’ wins Kazakh ‘Astana Arlans’ within World Series of Boxing

Boxers of the Azerbaijani professional team "Baku Fires" within the World Series of Boxing defeated the Kazakh team "Astana Arlans". The match, which took place in the Olympic Sports Center "Serhedchi” in Baku ended with the score 3-2.

Boxers of the Azerbaijani professional team "Baku Fires" within the World Series of Boxing defeated the Kazakh team "Astana Arlans".
The match, which took place in the Olympic Sports Center "Serhedchi" in Baku ended with the score 3-2.

First, Magomed Abdulhamidov and the Kazakh sportsman Bagdad Alimbekov, the boxers of the weight category up to 54 kilograms, performed on the ring. The victory was awarded to the Azerbaijani boxer as a result of five rounds. 

Ramal Amanov and Yerzhan Mussafirov met in the weight category up to 61 kilograms. The referees unanimously declared the Kazakh boxer the winner.
In the weight category up to 73 kilograms the Kazakh boxer Bakhyt Sarsekbayev met with Botirjon Mahmudov. Sarsekbayev won the game.

The Azeri boxer was awarded the victory in the next game between athletes (Ramazan Magomedov and Maxwell Amponsah) in the weight category up to 85 kg.

After the first four matches the score was 2-2. In the final fifth match between the sportsmen in the weight category over 91 kilograms the Azerbaijani boxer Magomedrasul Medzhidov met with the Kazakh boxer Ruslan Myrsatayev. Magomedrasul brought the final victory to his team.

The Azerbaijani team is the leader in the Asian group WSB, while boxers from Kazakhstan rank second. They are followed by the boxers from Beijing and Inchon.
