Water level increased in mountain rivers

As a result of precipitation in recent days, water levels in mountain rivers increased in Azerbaijan, the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry said.
In the rivers of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, water levels are observed above the ten-day rate - 120-260 percent of the ten-day norm.
A relative drop in water level is observed in the lower flow of the Kur River compared to the previous days. In the Surra point of the Kur River, water level now hits 467 cm (in 2010, the maximum level hit 955 cm), in Shirvan - 373 cm (853 cm), in the Banka settlement - 293 cm (503 cm), Salyan - 210 cm (855 cm). In the Novruzlu point of the Araz River, water level hits 250 cm (734 cm).
