Last year the Prosecutor's Office in Baku disclosed five murders committed in previous years, prosecutor Aziz Seyidov said at a meeting as of 2010, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
He said that disclosing of such crimes as robbery, seizure of narcotics and psychotropic drugs on a large scale is the result of coordinated efforts of the law enforcement bodies.
Last year roughly 10,612 crimes were investigated, of which 79 percent disclosed, the prosecutor said.
The prosecutor's office completed the investigation of 523 cases.
According to the report, a number of heinous crimes were disclosed. Criminals involved in these crimes were sentenced.
One murder, 34 robberies and 11 accidents were not disclosed.
