U.S. intends to study and disseminate Azerbaijani model of tolerance throughout world

U.S. intends to study and disseminate throughout the world the Azerbaijani model of tolerance, it was said at a meeting between the delegation headed by the U.S. Department of State's special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism Hannah Rosenthal and deputy chairman of Azerbaijani parliamentary committee on human rights Evda Abramov, the press service of the Parliament reported.
Rosenthal said Azerbaijan is a country with a rich tradition of tolerance.
The U.S. Department of State's special representative to Muslim communities Farah Pandit said their mission is to eliminate the negative attitudes towards the Muslim communities around the world.
Abramov said Azerbaijan never had any anti-Semitism. "Azerbaijan is a tolerant state. Mosques, churches and synagogues are functioning closely here, all religions are free. At the initiative of the Azerbaijani President, a new synagogue for the Mountain Jews was built in the city center," Abramov said.
