A list of construction sites was published where seismic stations will be built in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
The stations will be built at the Umid, Guneshli and Shah Deniz fields. The first station will be built on a platform located at the Umid Field, National Seismological Service Center Director Gurban Yetirmishli told journalists.
Ten seismic stations will be built to study the seismic situation in the Caspian Sea, Yetirmishli said.
At present, 30 seismic stations operate on land, and five more stations will be built, Yetirmishli said.
"At the same time, a seismic monitoring system will be created in Azerbaijan," Yetirmishli said.
Azerbaijan is located on a 9-point seismic zone.
