The proposals on strengthening the military-patriotic education of Azerbaijani youth have been developed, the chairman of the national council of voluntary military-patriotic sport-technical society, Major-General Novruzali Orujov told Trend.
He said that these proposals will be submitted to the government in the nearest future to be included in the state program "Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015".
He touched on some points of these proposals.
"We propose the secondary schools to strengthen the lessons on basic military training," he said. "We want them not be of formal nature. Moreover, all schools must get the weapons to teach pupils using of weapons. We propose to systematically conduct shooting competition between schools".
Involving the adolescents and young people to the skydiving training courses will also contribute to the military-patriotic education, he said.
Azerbaijani President signed a decree on the development of the State Program "Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015".
During the meeting held with a group of young people who have attained success in various fields, and representatives of the student organizations on April 22, President Aliyev stressed that special attention in this program was paid to military training.
