The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry plans to develop a new regulatory instrument to prevent calls from hidden mobile phone numbers, Minister Ali Abbasov told reporters.
"We believe such calls are wrong. We receive a lot of calls and complaints about it. So, specific measures will be adopted in this direction. But, one have to make sure that it did not negatively impact the business of mobile operators," he said.
The ministry as a regulatory body has certain powers to combat such phenomena, he added.
Abbasov said subscribers dissatisfied with such calls may protect their rights legally by court order.
The transfer of Bakcell and Azercell mobile operators to manat tariffs will lower prices for mobile communications.
"This process has already begun. You will see the results in the coming days," he added.
