Some 110,423 entrants have applied to participate in entrance examinations for higher education in 2010, Azerbaijani State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) Chair Maleyka Abbaszade said at today's press-conference.
"The number of applications filed by entrants is lower by 1.85 percent, or 20,085 applications in 2010. The Azerbaijani sector received 99,190 applications and the Russian sector received 11, 233 applications. Some 34,988 entrants have appealed to the first specialty group, 27,068 to the second group, 32,859 to the third group, and 15,508 to the fourth," Abbaszade said.
Some 50.38 percent of entrants are boys and 49.62 percent are girls.
