The Azerbaijani government does not consider the abolition of shifting to daylight saving time, the Cabinet of Ministers told Trend.

"At present, no specific work and any discussions are underway in this matter," the government said.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a federal law "On calculation of time" which envisages abolition of shifting to daylight saving time.

By moving clock hands an hour clockwise at 04:00 on last Sunday of March Azerbaijan shifts to daylight saving time.

Control over the execution of this decision is entrusted to the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
