Azerbaijan, France to implement scientific projects

The Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) have announced a competition of projects on scientific cooperation, covering basic and applied research in the fields of exact and natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.

The Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) have announced a competition of projects on scientific cooperation, covering basic and applied research in the fields of exact and natural sciences,
humanities and social sciences.

The competition is conducted based on an agreement on scientific cooperation, signed by the sides on Jan. 30 in Paris, the Academy of Sciences told Trend.

Implementation of projects will start from Jan.1 next year and end on Dec.31 2013. The competition is open to all research institutions of the ANAS and CNRS organizations.

The project proposals will be assessed by independent experts.
Projects will be selected in terms of quality and novelty, prospects for cooperation development between ANAS and CNRS and involvement of young researchers.

The final decision will be made by the ANAS-CNRS joint committee.
