Azerbaijan may extend the tourist season, Advisor to the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Tourism Association Muzaffar Agakarimov told Trend.
Agakarimov added that Azerbaijan has favorable conditions to extend the tourist season.
"There are nine climate zones in Azerbaijan," Agakarimov said. "About 250 days a year in Baku and the Absheron peninsula are sunny. This opportunity should be fully used."
Agakarimov said that the tourist season can last from May to October not only in Baku but also in the regions. But it is necessary to develop new tourism services.
Agakarimov said that there are few types of tourist services in Azerbaijan. Travel companies can make more profit by increasing the types of services.
Agakarimov said that tourism companies must take into account the student's vacation.
